Once we’ve established what features you need, like auto attendant or follow me, our certified professionals will setup your call flows to establish what phone(s) ring when certain numbers and extensions are dialed. We can set things up so that your “sales” line rings 3 extensions and if no one answers after 10 seconds or 3 rings, then it also rings 2 other extensions. We can also add prefixes to make answering things much easier. At Computer Elite, when the phone rings, it rings in all of our locations. If someone selected 0 from the menu, we would see “OPR” for operator calls on the display. If someone selects 1 or 2, we will see “Sales” or “Tech”, making sure the right person answers the incoming call promptly. (see image below)

You can see where Dee called in to our main line, she hit 2 for technical assistance. On my phone it shows “TECH” and then her “call display” name. I can answer the call, then if need be, park the call by hitting one of the available parking spots on the right of the display. Once parked anyone at any of our locations can pick it up. We use Microsoft Teams to notify other locations if the call is for them and give them details about the call.

Voicemail to email, a standard feature:

IP Phones provide much greater flexibility in the workplace by offering standard services like Voicemail to email, meaning that when someone leaves you a voicemail it is a playable audio file sent directly to your email inbox. No more listening to prompts to get to the message. Just click on the audio file and listen to it.

How many lines will you have?

With our IP Phone System, you can have as many incoming calls as you need as well as lines out. You are allotted up to the number of extensions you have on the system. So, if you have 5 extensions you would have 5 assigned lines. But there is virtually no limit. If you go over the number of lines you have, you are charged a “burst” charge depending on how many lines you went over. So, no more paying for a set number of lines every month, whether they are used or not, and no more people getting voicemail once all the lines are in use. Also, no one will ever have to wait for a line to free up before they can call out. It’s rare that customers use the burst feature, but rest assured, you’ll enjoy always having lines there if and when you need them most.
